Insurance:
What Insurance Cover Do I Need?
As has been mentioned elsewhere, paragliding has its risks. Because of this we must insist that you have a minimum of Two Million Pounds third party liability cover whilst training with us or flying in our club.
For those of you that have paid for a Taster Day or Tandem Flight this will be arranged on the first day you attend. If you are on a full course, you can take it out whenever you wish, but to save money it would be best taken out on your first day too.
You would also be foolish not to have personal accident cover for personal injury, time off work and accidental death etc. For this you will need to look at those companies that can give you the cover you need. We list the best ones below for you - it's up to you to choose which cover is best for your circumstances.

Accident Cover - Our advice would be to make sure you cover yourself for personal injury - who will feed your children and pay the mortgage if you can't work?
Equipment Cover - not essential, but wil be most welcome if you damage or lose anything.
Travel Insurance - is an absolute must if you intend to fly outside the UK.
If you're travelling abroad or going on one of our holidays you must also apply for a European Health Insurance Card - follow this link www.ehic.org
The following companies offer insurance cover for paragliding and other sports:
SportsCover Direct Insurance (best for liability and accident cover whilst under training)
Harrison Beaumont Insurance (competive equipment and travel cover)
JS Insurance (Travel insurance cover only)
In School
Although statistically you're at your safest whilst under training, accidents can and do happen so we insist our students take out personal accident cover.
For cover whilst under training the best value in our opinion is with SportsCover Direct Insurance. You can get a day's cover for under twelve pounds (this must be taken out on the day) and annual cover for a little over fifty pounds that will give you ten thousand pounds worth of accident cover. Obviously, if you spend a little more on the premium you'll get a higher level of cover.
