• Course places cannot be reserved without full payment in advance.
• Gift Vouchers are not transferable and are non-refundable except in the following circumstances: death, pregnancy or serious illness certified by GP. In such circumstances either an extension or partial refund may be granted. Each case will be considered on its merits i.e. 12 months extension for pregnancy. Requests for refund must be in writing and will be subject to a deduction of our reasonable costs.
• Course fees are not transferable and are non-refundable except in circumstances as detailed above.
• Achieving your rating depends upon your attendance on booked days. If weather dictates that days are cancelled; you will have ample time to rebook. Refunds due to bad weather will not be given.
• Qualifications cannot be guaranteed within the specified time period; they are achieved by completing a series of defined tasks. Any extra days needed to complete training will be charged for at the current daily rate.
• It is up to you to phone the school and listen to the answer-phone message the evening before your booked day (after 7.30pm) to find out whether your course has been cancelled or not due to unsuitable weather conditions (just because a nice day has been forecast, it doesn’t mean it will be suitable for safe flying).
• If your day is ‘called on’ and you fail to attend without prior notice (min 72 hours) you will lose that day's credit.
• Course credit is valid for six months from the day of purchase. Your days do not have to be taken consecutively - you can come when it is convenient for you, but you will need to book in advance.
• It is advisable not to leave too much time between lessons, as progression through your course will be detrimentally affected. For your safety all courses must be completed within six months of starting or extra ‘refresher’ training days will be required. These will be charged for at the current daily rate.
• Personal accident and liability insurance cover is mandatory. One day's cover is included in the price of Taster Days and Tandem Flights, but not for EP and CP courses; you will need to take this out on the first day of your course at the school. • Paragliding is subject to weather and it is important that you make every effort to book your course or use your voucher at the first opportunity (within the six month validity period). In the event your booking is cancelled on more than eight occasions due to bad weather and you are unable to fly within the voucher/course period, we will extend the validity of the voucher/course by three months at our discretion. If you do not use your credit you WILL lose it.

Please note - Providing you book in regularly your course credit will not expire (none of us can control the weather after all), but if you fail to book in regularly as outlined above it will expire - so please be sure to book in REGULARLY. Refunds will NOT be given for expired Gift Vouchers or course credit. Extended credit will not expire providing you are booking in at least four times a month during that extended credit period.

Refund Policy

The ParAvion refund policy complies with the EU Distance Selling Directive (2000) and is part of UK law under the Consumer Protection Regulations (2000) that relate to distance selling. The law came into force in the year 2000 and applies to all UK based transactions where the consumer doesn’t meet the vendor.

Consumer Rights

In accordance with the above law, you have a seven day ‘cooling off’ period during which you have the right to cancel your purchase and receive a refund. You don’t need to give a reason to cancel your purchase. If you do decide to cancel, we will refund your payment within thirty days of your cancellation.

Refund Conditions

ParAvion reserves the right to charge a handling fee (20% of the original fee).

How To Cancel Within Seven Days Of Purchase

Refunds Following Cancellation

If you cancel your purchase within the seven day cooling off period, we will refund your payment.

If you paid by credit or debit card, your refund will be made directly to your credit or debit card within thirty days of your cancellation.

If you paid by any other means then your refund will be made by cheque, this will be posted to you within thirty days of your cancellation.
