"I’d like to echo Jeff Lemon's comments from a few weeks back and thank you all yet again for the help and encouragement which you've shown to me and everyone else I've flown with since starting out training with ParAvion this May.
The quality of instruction has far exceeded my original expectations, and the constant emphasis upon all things safety-related has been spot-on – and all this in a most warm and friendly learning environment!
Looking forward to many more days on the tow field in the (colder) months ahead!"
Alastair MacMaster
"Hi Trev and all at ParAvion, just to say thanks for all the help you have given me, Scott and Chris from our Taster Day right through to completing our CP. We had a fantastic time and appreciate the kind and friendly manner in which we were taught to fly and the high level of safety that you showed."
Jeff Lemon
"I would just like to say a big thank you to ParAvion, its been nearly 12 months since I booked my taster day, but its been worth the wait to get to my CP. Not only have I learnt a new hobby that's going to take me all over the UK and Europe, but also I have made lots of great new friends from all backgrounds that share a common interest, and that's what it's all about I think; 50% flying and 50% social for the non flyable days.
So a big thank you to "The Guv" Trevor for never being bored of answering the same questions and sharing his expertise and running a great school and to all of you for the micky taking and general banter that makes ParAvion feel more like a club than a school. High levels of professionalism and safety when it's needed and the friendly atmosphere that makes people feel welcome and keeps us coming back for more!"
Chris 'Big Bird' Elliott
Tom Arnold wrote a nice article about ParAvion in the Avon Club's newsletter - you can find it here: http://www.avonhgpg.co.uk/files/0808enova.pdf - it's on pages 9, 10 & 11.
Trevor McLoughlin
"I would like to thank Trevor for running a fantastic school and giving me so much advice. He has gone to extraordinary lengths to give me a chance of gaining my CP and has been incredibly patient with me as I am not the easiest of guys to teach. Anyway a big thankyou to you all."
Alex Thomas
"I wanna say a 'GIANT THANK YOU' to Trev & the Team for helping me to achieve my CP. What a great bunch you all are! Always welcoming, always on hand to give advice & always very supportive. ParAvion has a fantasic atmosphere & it's amazing what you absorb & learn, even if you're just popping in for a coffee!
I've also met some really great fellow students along the way that I hope to fly the skys with one day soon, so 'shout when your out'!
Thanks again ParAvion, it's been an absolute pleasure to have done the course with you & I hope to see you all again soon. (no you haven't got rid of me yet)."
Tracy Manners
"Many thanks for yesterday, for my winch endorsement training. Couldn't believe you had just about 70 launches in one day, and then not really getting going till 12 ish (because of the weather - Ed.). I doubt very much if a 'hill only' school could match that score, so well done. I always recommend ParAvion - keep up the good work and may you have many future students, as you well deserve them."
Jon Harvey
"A big big Thanks to Sheena, Trevor, Justin and Simon, who have all helped me along the way to CP. A really great day to finish with, I don't think it could have been better. Thank you all so much."
Stuart Mayson
"Phew...got there in the end! Thanks Trevor It's been a great course, I have really enjoyed it. It was nice to finish the CP with an exam. At least I knew that it wouldn't be blown out!"
Martin Woolley
"Thanks Trev, I love this sport, its made me realise there are some bloody nice people in the world! I gained a great deal of knowledge today as I'm sure did my fellow students. Another bonus was to see a nine strong Tiger Moth formation fly around & around the Pewsey Vale, nice to know we weren't the only one's having a great day."
Mike Manners
"Thanks Trevor. I think Mike nicely epitomises the "big smile" feeling of finally achieving decent hill soaring and everything falling nicely into place with launching and landing. I very much hope to stay flying with you and to continue to learn from the huge experience of you and the team...after all, as newly fledged CPs we have learned the absolute basics. Now to get some experience."
Chris Williams
"Well I eventually passed! It looked as though the weather had beaten us yet again but the wind eased off for us to enjoy our soaring flights. Brilliant! I just could not stop grinning. All the frustration of waiting for the weather to"play ball" or even for the forecast to be correct has been 100% worth it.
Many thanks go to Trevor and co for their excellent tuition. They make a great team. I know I will enjoy their company and gain from their expertise for years to come. With the winch and the Slovenia trip to look forward to, paragliding has opened up a whole new and exciting world for me. THANK YOU PARAVION"

Foreign Flying Holidays
"Hi Trevor, I would like to be one of the first to say "thank you" for organising the latest flying trip to the Pyrenees. I learned a lot about the weather and flying. Jim & Joan Cochrane were excellent hosts and made me feel very welcome in their home.
Thank you for your ongoing teaching and support. To have your instructor in a social as well as a teaching environment was worth its weight in gold.
Eric Perkins
"Hi Trevor, thanks for all your efforts in organising a great trip. A bit wet & windy on occasion but as a first trip abroad for me it was a fantastic experience. A huge thank you to Jim & Joan for their warm welcome & for all the efforts made to get us in the air at every opportunity. I look forward to returning next year."
Phil Webb
"Trevor, I just wanted to say a big thank you. What a week. I had an awesome time - flying which far exceeded expectations but only due to your professionalism, encouragement and great country. The hospitality, food and small quantities of wine helped considerably. The company was also exceptional - a great mix and great banter.
Personal bests all round - and what a great place to lose the red ribbon and get my longest flight. Already planning to get my name down for the next trip and highly recommend Slovenia to all - great value, great instruction and a real confidence boost. Having seen how others attempted to fly under poor instruction and total disregard for safety speaks volumes for going with you guys. Thanks again and to the whole group who made it a great trip."
Ian Wiggans
"It was a really good trip with many highlights, and I felt that the quality of the flying was much better than last year in terms of everyone's personal achievements. I reached a new personal best distance and duration, and flew a couple of routes I hadn't managed to complete before. One of the best moments was looking down from above the top of the Pyramid on my flight from Kobala to Dreznica, seeing the bus below on the road to Kobarid and getting encouragement over the radio from everyone down there urging me on. Fantastic!
Chris Hooker
"Today was brilliant. I flew with my wingman Simon all the way to Kobala from Stol. It was more thermic and bumpy than I've experienced before. Flying at cloudbase with Simon was one of the most exciting things I've ever done. I learnt to fly with Trevor at ParAvion three years ago and all I've done is learn more & more. After five trips; Greece, Spain and three to Slovenia - this is where it all came together. Trev, put my name down for ALL of next year's trips."
Richard Partridge
"Hi Trev, once again. How can I compete against the previous comments about this Slovenia trip? As you know, I've done seven trips with you guys since completing my CP with you at ParAvion. It's great to fly with all these lads at their own club sites, but it's much better for me to join you and fly with those flying friends under your expert guidance. Simon, Richard and I learned together and have travelled together on all your trips abroad with you.
This trip, I have once again obtained another two personal bests (as I have on ALL my previous trips). I have flown from Stol take off to Tolmin landing field (27k) which took me two hours and forty five minutes to do.
Once again as all the others, I want to book up for the whole of 2008 - can I also put my name down for 2009?"
Terry Walsh
"Thanks for a great week Trevor. The great organisation and relaxed but firmly safe guidance at take-off meant I got into the air relaxed and able to concentrate on improving my thermaling technique. I made friends with cloud base on several occasions (it had been eluding me up to now). Good to be with everyone else who went on the trip, great bunch, happy memories, sheep, bulls and other things. Those who went know what I mean! Looking forward to the next one."
Martin Kelly
"Having spent the week with the ParAvion crew in Slovenia (Aug -Sept 08) I'm already looking forward to going again next year. I couldn't fault the accommodation, food or friendly staff & nothing was too much trouble.
Neither could I fault the proficiency of ParAvion, & flying under their guidence made for an enjoyable, yet safe week. The flying was just incredible & as a very low air time Club Pilot I'd only ever dreamt of reaching such heights. I'm still smiling & it's amazing to think that all of this evolved from a fun Taster Day back in May 07.
Tracy Manners
"Aside from being spoilt with the best weather of the year, our September 08 trip to Slovenia couldn't have been better organised, managed or instructed than was experienced during that week, nor could we have bettered the company of the fellow group we bonded so well with either. Where are we going next?"
Mike Manners
